January Wellness Note

Happy New Year! 🎊

One of my favorite parts of traveling is coming home. I know for some people this is the worst part, especially after a great vacation, but for me it feels like the moment everything falls back into place.

I’ve been fortunate to travel to many incredible places this past year, from Bali to California, Mexico, Greece, and New Zealand. And even when I’ve had an amazing experience in a beautiful place, surrounded by people I love, there’s always a point near the end of the journey when I feel ready to return. Not because the trip wasn’t wonderful, but because being away reminds me of what truly matters.

If distance really does make the heart grow fonder, traveling to one of the farthest places from Connecticut certainly deepened my appreciation for home. Not the location itself, since winter in CT is pretty bleak, but the life I return to. The people I get to share it with. The familiar rhythms, rituals, and routines that help me feel steady and grounded.
